"Ice House Bowling" is a simple game that takes the regular game of bowling and revolutionizes it into a miniature game involving ice house pieces and two dice. The game is simple and for everyone of any age.
Equipment[edit | edit source]
- 10 Ice House Pyramids - 2 6-sided dice - At least two players (The more players, the longer the game will take.)
Preparation[edit | edit source]
The game has a very simple set up. It mimics a bowling alley and its pins at the end of the lane. The following set up should look like just like the pins to a bowling alley. There will be four pins in the back row, then three, then two, then one.
Gameplay[edit | edit source]
Now that you have finished setting up your game, you are almost ready to play. By following these simple steps you will know how to play icehouse bowling.
First Roll:
To start, you will use both dice. Roll the dice and add the two numbers together. If you roll 10 or more that’s a strike! To show how many pins you hit, turn them down and onto their side.
Second Roll:
For your second roll you will only be using one die. Roll the die. If the number on the die is greater than or equal to the number of pins you have set up, then you receive a spare!
Scoring[edit | edit source]
Record your score by adding your first and second roll together. If you received a strike, those are an automatic 20 points. If you received a spare, those are an automatic 15 points. Continue playing for ten rounds or frames. The person with the highest score at the end wins.
Winner[edit | edit source]
The player who has the highest score at the end of ten frames wins.
