I've enabled embedding video using Extension:EmbedVideo. Here's are a couple of tests:

The EmbedVideo extension was not enabled during the 2023 migration. It is available, but do we need it? Dazeysan (talk) 22:23, 29 April 2024 (UTC)

Record Permission

What's required for "Record Permission" from a designer to add the rules (say from archive.org) to the wiki? Is there a format? I've bgg messaged one designer, but what would need to be recorded here, and where? --Eclectics (talk) 06:55, 26 April 2024 (UTC)

The 2 old permissions looked to be just copies of the text from an E-mail and Facebook messenger. That might be good enough, not sure if screenshots would be any more "legit" as any of it can be easily faked. We could also make links in a game page to the permissions page when permission was provided. We could make a template for such links, make it similar to Template:Cc --Dazeysan (talk) 01:07, 30 April 2024 (UTC)

Projects and other items

I moved the various projects to their own subpages under Looney_Pyramid_Games_Wiki:Community_Portal/Projects. I'm thinking we can have various subpages like "Planning" or similar where we can discuss what we want to do with the wiki and lay out what needs to be done. It also allows for separate talk pages per project.

There is a Projects: namespace shortcut for wiki management as well? it seems to just are replaced with the wiki name as a namespace, so ends up with Looney_Pyramid_Games_Wiki:Project1, etc? Not sure it makes any difference, other than shorter page names since they aren't subpages? --Eclectics (talk) 10:16, 30 April 2024 (UTC)

Okay, it took some digging, but it looks like "Looney Pyramid Games Wiki" is the "Project" namespace (namespace number 4). I should be able to set a shorter alias for it (LPGW? or Wiki?). Also, I could move the project pages one level up so they are LPGW/Projects/Infobox. -Dazeysan (talk) 23:07, 30 April 2024 (UTC)

I tried enabling the MW:Extension:SubPageList3 extension to be able to automatically display a tree view of subpages, but it hasn't been activated in the few hours since I submitted that change. --Dazeysan (talk) 00:56, 30 April 2024 (UTC)

Had to re-enable it again this morning, but it worked right away. It automatically makes lists like this:

• Community Portal
  • Projects
    • Game Rules
    • Game Strategy
    • History
    • Infobox
    • Pyramid Arcade
    • What Can I Play?
