Playtesting Comments[edit source]

I've just had a quick go and it seems to work ok. I would suggest adding the "If the final piece lands in your capture area you take another turn" rule as it adds more depth and strategy to the game. The game was a lot more fun using this rule.

At the end of the game, are all pieces of the same value?

Possible bonus for capturing trees?

Does color matter, or are all pieces worth the same number of points to each player? (Sure, I'll be redundant.)

Ooooo.. Good questions.. I think I will add the "If the final piece lands in your capture area you take another turn" rule. Excellent suggestion.. Also, check out scoring.. I'll add some stuff there. And, I love the capturing trees bonus Idea.. --GameBrain42 21:05, 31 October 2007 (EDT)

Better look for another name[edit source]

The game was already invented in 2002. See here. --Malabalula 13:01, 1 November 2007 (EDT)

Well, shoot.. Thanks for letting me know! --GameBrain42 16:20, 5 November 2007 (EST)

Incomplete Rules[edit source]

Where is Blue sitting at the beginning of the game? Lower side or upper side? - --Malabalula 13:08, 1 November 2007 (EDT)

Move Page[edit source]

You realize that you can move this page to "Volcano Race" with the move link above, right? Also, you can do a bit of a favor to the original designer and use this page (after moving) to provide a link out to his rules and an Infobox summary. Of course, be sure to add Volcano Race on the Games Under Development, List of Games, and Count of Games pages (and remove Martian Mancala as a Game Under Dev by your name and list it on Existing Games and What Can I Play?). Hope this helps! --David Artman 10:46, 6 November 2007 (EST)
