How Pretty Is That? is a simple abstract strategy game for one or more players. Players take turns making trees and placing them on a Mega Volcano Board. Then that player asks "How Pretty Is That?" The correct response is always "Very." The goal of the game is to make the prettiest board ever.
What you need
- 6 or more Icehouse stashes
- A Mega-Volcano Board
Setup
One player takes the pyramids and scatters them on the floor to randomize them.
Play
On each turn, the player makes a tree and places it on the board. There is SOME requirement on where the pieces play, but Willow wasn't clear about this. My best guess is that you cannot fill up the board in any "conventional" order. I DO know that I messed up a few times- "No Daddy! It goes HERE!" is the correct response
After the piece is placed, the player then asks: "How pretty is that?" If more than one player is playing, the other players must respond with "Very" or "Very Pretty." Any other responses are rejected.
For example: "How pretty is that?" "That's beautiful" would not be legal. The correct response in this case is "NO! It's VERY pretty!"
When all squares on the board are filled (and not before) you may continue to play by placing six trees in a line on the border of the board and then three more in the corners of the border.
New players may join this game at any point.
Winning the Game
I haven't quite figured it out. Usually everyone ties, but Willow won this game. (And that was declared even before I knocked off the cap in the lower right.)
