Block ur friends BurF is played on a chessboard, and each player needs his own a stash/5 treehouse sets and a die for each player.
It is mostly a 4 player game but can be played with 2 or 3 but best with 4. Each player chooses a color and puts there 1 pip piece in the middle of the chess board. D4, D5, E4, and E5. (The 4 center spaces of the chess board) Players could instead use pawns or little characters from other games.
On your turn you roll the die and move that many spaces. You leave a 2 or 3 pip pieces in the spot you started in. These pieces accumulate and start filling up the board.
You can move through pieces of your own color but you can’t end your turn in the space you started in or a previously placed pyramid. You are allowed to back track over spaces you’ve traveled on this turn. For instance, if you only have two open spaces you would need to roll an odd number to be safe. Starting in A 1b 2a 3b 4a 5b
After your roll if there is no room and no way to get out you have been BurFed and you poof off the board.
Last player standing wins.
In a longer game you may have to start using your 1 pip pieces the stationary ‘blockers’. I have 5 treehouse sets and it works..Not sure if it can be played with 4 or not. If a pawn is used instead of 1 pip the other 1 pips of your color can be used to fill up the board.
Two rule clarifications from the discussion page:
- Are diagonal moves allowed? Prohibiting them certainly makes for a shorter game, which probably plays well into the number of pieces available.
We played were you couldn't move diagonally but you certainly could make a house rule for yourselves.
- Is your pawn blocked by opponents' pawns, or just the pyramids they leave behind?
Yes your pyramid/pawn takes up a space.
Adjustments from Cerulean I like.
Smaller board for less players. Play on a 7x7 with 3P, and 6x6 for 2P.
