This game has been designed to be playable in a bus or in any situation where no table is available.
Goal[edit | edit source]
One player, the Disciple, must find out which pyramids the other has hidden in his pocket, while the other, the Master, tries to prevent the first from guessing.
Setup[edit | edit source]
Take 6 pyramids (2 small, 2 medium, 2 large) in each of 3 different colors and put all 18 pyramids in the opaque bag. The Master secretly takes out three pyramids of any sizes and colors and puts them in his pocket. He then keeps the bag in hand.
The Disciple holds the Treehouse tube in one hand, between both players, with its mouth upwards.
Play[edit | edit source]
The Disciple goes first. On his turn, he must ask the Master a pyramid of any size (small, medium, large) or color. If one or more pyramids of this size or color remain in the bag, the Master must give him one. The Disciple must then drop it in the tube, in the orientation he wishes. His turn is then over. If no pyramid matching the Disciple's request is available, they must specify another size or color, unless they have discovered which pyramids are hidden.
On his turn, the Master can take any pyramid from the opaque bag and give it to the Disciple for him to drop it in the tube, in the orientation he wishes.
Game end[edit | edit source]
The game ends either when the Disciple announces which pyramids are in the Master’s pocket (Disciple wins if his announcement is right, and he is only allowed one try), or when a pyramid reaches over the edge of the tube (Master wins).
Designer's note[edit | edit source]
After playtesting this a few times with different sets of pyramids, I'm still not sure how many pyramids should be used and hidden, but 18 and 3 seem to work fine. Any feedback appreciated.
