Treehouse set
Disambiguation: This page is for the Treehouse set marketed product. For Treehouse the game. see Treehouse.
A Treehouse set is a collection of 15 Icehouse pieces in five colors: one large piece, one medium piece, and one small piece in each color. It also includes a cloth 5×5 grid and two dice: a standard six-sided and a custom black six-sided die with a custom action printed on each face.
The die-faces of the custom die are as follows:
Three other versions of Treehouse sets exist:
- Rainbow Treehouse, a set of 15 pyramids in red, yellow, green, blue, and black (opaque) that, unlike the product above sold under the same name, did not include the cloth grid or the standard six-sided die
- Xeno Treehouse, a set of 15 pyramids in orange, clear, cyan, purple, and white (opaque) that did not include the cloth grid or the standard six-sided die
- Pink Treehouse, a set of 15 pyramids in pink that did not include the cloth grid or the standard six-sided die
The phrase "2HOUSE" means two Treehouse sets, "3HOUSE" means three Treehouse sets, and so on.
History[edit | edit source]
Icehouse pieces were originally sold in stashes, with all 15 pieces of the same color, and most games required either a set number of stashes, or 1 stash per player. When Treehouse was published in 2006, Looney Labs made it their standard-issue pyramid product, revolutionizing how retailers sell pyramids and breaking the monochrome stash convention. Not until 2016 did Looney Labs switch to a new form-factor for selling pyramids, Pyramid Arcade.
